Who we are

About the house

Heinze Quill Publishing is a small, independent house with a single, stubborn belief: the stories history filed away are worth recovering — and worth telling beautifully.

We publish historical fiction and creative nonfiction rooted in real archival research. Our books follow the women the record overlooked, the partnerships that changed things quietly, and the moments where light outlasted darkness. A key premise in our work is allyship: you'll find real stories of historical successes forged in partnership between women, and across races.

We're boutique on purpose. A small list means every book gets our full attention — careful research, careful editing, and design that treats the reader like a guest we're glad to see.

What guides us

Our compass

Resilience

We look for the people who endured and adapted — and we make sure the reader feels the cost and the courage.

Allyship

The partnerships history undersold — between women, across races — are at the heart of what we publish.

Truth, told well

Rigorous research beneath every page, so the story you love is one you can also trust.
